Suggested Low-Carb Diabetes Management Media
For more than a decade, my family has had remarkable success (click to see) using low-carbohydrate and high-protein dieting as a basis for successful diabetes management with my now teenage son. We follow the regimen described in the book Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution (read for free at archive.org), and we are not alone. This page links to videos and social media resources from myself and others on the topic.
This provides eleven critical elements
to success from Dr. Bernstein's regimen, and in my 2019 talk at the Friends
for Life Conference in Orlando, I presented my best attempt at
summarizing the highlights of the regimen, starting at the 13:35 mark.
You can find more information and resources at Let Me Be 83, and don't miss the documentary short-film, Madness, the Cost of Carb$, or the feature-length version, The Diabetes Solution (also on YouTube Movies, Vimeo, Apple iTunes, Google Play, and Kanopy).

Important Note: I strongly disagree with the concepts put forward by Dr. Robert Cywes, in the Q&A starting at 1:07:00.
I do not believe for a second that Dr. Cywes has provided cures to Type 1 Diabetes and I have seen videos in which he has provided advice for T1D management that exemplifies that he does not understand the disease well at all. In some cases, his advice is frankly dangerous.
